Mohammad Ikbal Hasan is an Assistant Profession and Chairman of the Department of Law at the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS), Dhaka, Bangladesh. He is also an Advocate permitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. As a researcher he writes on various legal issues and talks on social and religious causes. After obtaining M Phil degree Mr Hasan is pursuing PhD in Law. Besides authoring a textbook on Land Law, he has published many research articles in national and international journals and participated in conferences at home and abroad. Mr Hasan is organizer and mentor of various social and religious associations as he is passionate to work for human rights, religious harmony and societal peace.

He also served two consecutive terms (2013-2015 and 2015-2017) as a Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors of Graphic Communications Group Limited, publishers of Ghana’s leading and State-owned daily newspaper. He was a member of the Governing Board of the Ghana AIDS Commission (2003-2016) and also served on the Advisory Panel of Experts to the Ghana Human Development Report (2007). He currently serves as a member of the National Steering Committee on Child Labour (NSCCL) under the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations; a member of the Resource Mobilisation Committee of the Ghana AIDS Commission as well as a member of the Islamic Programmes Advisory Committee of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation. Al-Hajj Addo is a recipient of the "Ambassador for Peace" award in 2008 by the Inter-Religious and International Federation for World Peace, and has since 2006 been a Fellow of the DANIDA Fellowship Programme, Denmark. Al-Hajj Addo is a retired Senior Principal Research Officer of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), Ghana, after 24 years of meritorious Public Service in Ghana.
